Of all D.C.'s monuments and memorials, the Jefferson is my favorite. Nice pics! Spouse and I used to go down to see the Basin cherry blossoms, but the crowds have become overwhelming. There are plenty of cherry trees in other locations, so we still get to enjoy them. Hains Point, in particular, has some nice ones and, allegedly some of the original Japanese trees that arrived infested with insects. All but these few were burned. Somehow they survived and are some truly cool, gnarly trees now!
